Sunday Sessions

The Naked Sundays Podcast on SPF50, Skin Health & Founder Life

Sunday Sessions is the official podcast from Naked Sundays, hosted by founder, media professional and author, Sam Brett. Based in Australia, home to some of the highest UV levels in the world, Sunday Sessions explores SPF50 education, skin cancer prevention, sunscreen science and the future of beauty-first sun protection.

Created to make daily sun protection simple and evidence-based, this podcast bridges the gap between medical expertise and modern beauty routines. Through expert interviews and thoughtful conversations, Sunday Sessions delivers clear insights designed to help you protect your skin confidently and consistently.

Why SPF50 Education Matters

Australia has one of the highest rates of melanoma and skin cancer globally. Yet many people still misunderstand what SPF50 actually means, how sunscreen testing works and how much protection they truly need.

On Sunday Sessions, we break down:

  • What SPF50 protects against
  • How sunscreen is tested
  • The difference between mineral and chemical sunscreen
  • How much sunscreen to apply
  • When and how often to reapply
  • Why regular skin checks matter

We regularly speak with experienced medical professionals, including clinicians such as Dr John M Donnellan, to ensure conversations remain grounded in evidence and prevention-focused guidance.

Prevention starts with understanding. And understanding builds better daily habits.

Meet the Host: Sam Brett

Sam Brett is the Founder and CEO of Naked Sundays and the voice behind Sunday Sessions.

Before launching Naked Sundays, Sam built a successful career in television journalism, where she developed a passion for public education and clear communication. After years working in media, she became increasingly aware of Australia’s skin cancer statistics and the gap between awareness and behaviour.

She founded Naked Sundays to make SPF50 non-negotiable and wearable, creating multi-functional sunscreen formulations that blend skincare, makeup and high-performance protection into everyday routines.

As a founder and author, Sam brings curiosity, clarity and transparency to every episode, combining media expertise with a mission to reduce preventable skin damage through education.

What You’ll Learn on Sunday Sessions

Each episode explores topics including:

  • Skin cancer prevention and melanoma awareness
  • SPF50 explained
  • Sunscreen myths and testing standards
  • Early detection and skin check guidance
  • Beauty innovation and SPF-makeup hybrids
  • Scaling a global beauty brand
  • Founder resilience and leadership

By combining science and real-world insight, Sunday Sessions makes complex topics accessible without losing credibility.

More Than a Beauty Podcast

While Naked Sundays is known for leading the way in beauty-first SPF innovation, Sunday Sessions extends beyond product. It’s about long-term skin health, prevention and building habits that protect your future self.

UV exposure accumulates over time. Consistent daily SPF50 application plays a significant role in reducing avoidable skin damage. Through engaging conversations, this podcast aims to make sun protection feel routine rather than reactive.
